Land Acknowledgement

Land Acknowledgement

At Boston Landmarks Orchestra, we acknowledge that our concerts take place on the unceded land of the Massachusett people, including the neighboring Nipmuc and Wampanoag peoples.

We pay respect to the Massachusett, Nipmuc, and Wampanoag peoples, past and present. We acknowledge the painful history of violence and forced removal of indigenous people from this territory. We wish to express our sorrow for this history and extend our deepest gratitude for the use of this land on which we gather.

We ask that you take the time to learn more about this, and look into the resources that we’ve compiled about why land acknowledgement is important and ways to support indigenous communities.
