In Memory of Mary Deissler

Mary served as Co-Executive Director of Boston Landmarks Orchestra for five years, starting in March 2020. Under her leadership, she ensured Landmarks’ financial stability through a global pandemic and pioneered new programs that allowed Landmarks Orchestra to reach even more of the greater Boston community.

Mary’s commitment to Landmarks’ mission to build community through great music led to the creation of programs that continue to make an indelible impact. Some of her signature accomplishments include starting the Music & Memory program which increases access to orchestral music to those in memory care facilities and nursing homes, and an ongoing series of community concerts in artistically underserved neighborhoods including Roxbury, Chelsea, Dorchester, and more.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra is honored to accept donations in memory of Mary and in celebration of her impact. Gifts made in her memory will support Landmarks’ mission to build community through great music and Mary’s legacy.
