Kristo Kondakci, Assistant Conductor
Kristo Kondakci has been called a rising young conductor in the Boston area. Dynamic and versatile across a variety of musical fields, he will serve not only as the assistant conductor of the Boston Landmarks Orchestra, but will also manage the LO’s educational programs and partnerships. He is dedicated to breaking down social and cultural barriers and specializes in combining classical music and other art forms (dance, theater, etc) with a focus on inclusivity (with the blind and deaf).
Kristo holds a Master’s Degree in Conducting as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Composition from New England Conservatory. Before this, he was graduated from the prestigious Jesuit institution, Boston College High School.
At the NEC, Kristo has been named a Beneficent Society Scholar (2013), hailed as NEC’s Scholarship Star (2012), and was awarded the Composition Department prize at the Preparatory Division in 2009.
